Advertiser verification in Google Ads is mandatory and, at the same time, full of nuances. Many people put it off until the last minute, but the right approach lets you get through it in literally a few minutes, with no extra requests from Google. Below is a full step-by-step guide and a real case of verifying an LLC (a Ukrainian TOV).

Google Ads Advertiser Verification for an LLC Without Problems
Why you shouldn't wait for the deadline
Google usually gives a deadline — say, by March 13 — but it's better to get verified ahead of time. The review used to take up to 10 days, and if the client was slow sending documents, the whole process dragged on. It's faster now, but it's still better not to take the risk.
Step 1. Start the verification process
- Go to “Billing → Advertiser verification” and click “Start”.
- Select: “We are not an advertising agency”.
- Select: “We pay for ads ourselves”.
- Save and continue.
That's only the first part. Next, Google will ask for documents to verify the organization.
Step 2. Documents to verify the company
Google accepts the following documents:
- An extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities;
- A VAT payer certificate (optional);
- An identity document of the director listed in the payments profile.
Recommendation: don't use the old booklet-style domestic passport. Best options: ID card, international passport, driver's license.
Separately, ask the client for an extract on the registered address — ideally generated in the Diia app, where the data is always the most up to date.
Step 3. Upload documents and fill in the details
- Enter the full name of the LLC.
- Upload the extract from the register (EDRPOU).
- Check the data that was pulled in automatically from the payments profile.
- The company registration number field is optional — you can skip it.
Step 4. Confirm the director's identity
Here it's important that the first and last name exactly match the document. Google won't correct anything. If they find a mismatch, they'll simply reject it.
You need to upload the document in good quality. Important: an actual photo, not a scan; good lighting; all data readable.
Step 5. Address confirmation
Google sometimes asks for a document confirming the director's address. Sometimes it doesn't. It's completely random — there's no logic to it.
In this case, the system didn't request the document. But keep the Diia extract on hand — you may need it.
Step 6. Submit the documents
After submission, documents are usually reviewed within 1 to 5 days. If everything is correct, you get a confirmation of successful verification.
In our case, verification went through instantly — with no additional requests.
If your verification was rejected, I covered what to do next in a separate article on failed advertiser verification.
What can go wrong
- A mismatch in the full name between the document and Google Ads.
- Unreadable photos of documents.
- Choosing the wrong document type.
- Using scans instead of photos.
- The wrong company document.
Tip: even after successful verification, it can sometimes get revoked — Google may request re-verification. So keep all your documents on hand.
Where verification fits into the launch plan and how long the other stages take, I show in “How Long Does a Google Ads Launch Take”.
If verification has already failed and your ads are stopped — Google Ads account unblocking, paid on result.
