Agro Case Study in Google Ads: From Chaos to Stable Sales. 5 Months → +40% Leads

Video: Agro Case Study in Google Ads: From Chaos to Stable Sales. 5 Months → +40% Leads

About the project

The client is a company specializing in selling agricultural and warehouse equipment. At the start of our cooperation the main line was agricultural products: pellet mills, extruders, feed mills, branch chippers and similar equipment. In 2026 a new line was added — warehouse packaging equipment.

Cooperation period: from summer 2025 to the present — almost 1.5 years.

What we started with

When we began working together, the ad account had serious technical problems:

  • An ad account with lots of duplicate conversions
  • Incorrectly configured call tracking
  • An incorrectly configured product feed — even though it was generated by a third-party plugin
  • A third of the products never made it into the feed at all because of a technical error that I had to fix myself
  • Sales through the website cart were not passed to the CRM with any labels

Previous contractors had effectively been working with only 1/3 of all products and never noticed — after the fix, the catalog grew from 137 to 340 items

What we did

Fixed the technical errors in the feed and connected the full product range to advertising. I built the integration of the OpenCart website with the CRM myself, following the CRM’s instructions — this made it possible to see lead statuses and lead quality per campaign in the ad account.

At the current stage, we are integrating the import of actual sales into the ad account. The process isn’t without its difficulties, but the task isn’t critically urgent, since lead quality holds at around 90%.

About the client

The client takes a systematic approach to integrated marketing: runs social media, its own YouTube channel, and works on organic traffic and other sources. This has a positive effect on the overall results of search advertising.

The business hardly depends on seasonality: the products cover almost every harvesting and processing season, so ads didn’t stop even in the winter months — demand is there year-round.

Case FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean when a third of the products “didn’t make it into the feed”?
It means that because of a technical error in the product feed (even one generated automatically by a third-party plugin), part of the catalog physically never reached Google Merchant Center and couldn’t be advertised in Shopping campaigns or Performance Max — even though those products were on the website.
Why do you need to integrate the website with a CRM for advertising?
Without integration, the ad account only sees that a lead came in, but not its status or quality. Passing statuses and labels from the CRM lets you evaluate campaign performance by the real quality of leads, not just the number of inquiries.
Why isn’t passing actual sales into the ad account a critically urgent task?
Because lead quality stays high even without it (around 90%). When the basic signals are already clean enough, fine-tuning sales import adds extra accuracy but doesn’t block the campaigns from performing well.
Why doesn’t advertising agro and packaging equipment depend on seasonality?
Because the product range covers different stages of harvesting and processing that change throughout the year. This keeps demand and ad activity going year-round, without the dips typical of narrowly seasonal niches.
